What we receive from TikTok

When the owner of a TikTok account connects it, TikTok gives Thespis the account’s open ID, its display nickname, the list of permissions approved, and access and refresh tokens. We receive nothing else about the account’s followers or viewers.

What we send to TikTok

We send the videos and captions our team has approved for the connected account, and the settings chosen for each post, such as who can view it.

How we use it

Only to publish approved posts to the connected account and to show the team the status of each post. We do not sell the data and do not use it for advertising.

Storage and security

Tokens are kept in an access-controlled credential store, are available only to the team that runs Thespis, and are never written to logs.

Sharing

We share data with TikTok as needed to publish posts. We do not share it with anyone else except service providers that host our systems on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep a connected account’s tokens until the owner withdraws access or asks us to delete them. We keep a record of each post and its status for our own audit trail.

Withdrawing access and deletion

The account owner can withdraw access in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy, Security, Manage app permissions. To ask us to delete what we hold, write to socialmedia@laroyale.com.
